David E. Kase Sr., 65, of Fernleigh Place, Exeter Township, died of natural causes Dec. 13 in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient since Dec. 5.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Paul G. and Jane L. (Keffer) Kase.
Kase had been employed for 18 years by Phillips-Van Heusen, retiring in 2000. He had previously worked for 13 years as the owner of J. M. Kase Glass, Reading..
He was a 1954 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a 1955 graduate of the Reading School of Business.
He was an Army veteran.
Kase, who resided with Violet Knorr, is survived by a son, David E. Jr., Miami; and a daughter, Carol S. Kase-Saad, Reading.
Other survivors include a brother, Paul, Denver, Colo.
There are also five grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Viewing Wednesday 10 - 11 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 2045 Westgate Drive, Bethlehem, Pa 18017.
