David A. "Doc" Johnson, 62 of Spring Twp. died October 31 in Reading Hospital Emergency Care Unit.
He was the husband of Betty Jane (Raifsnider) Johnson.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Dr. Alfred T. Johnson, M.D. and Helen D. (Davis) Johnson.
He was employed by Atlantic Richfield (ARCO), which later became Atlantic and then Sunoco, Spring Township.
Johnson was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.
He was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1960. He attended DeVry Technical Institute, Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Lincoln Technology, Allentown.
Johnson was a lieutenant in the West Lawn Fire Company. He was a volunteer with Western Berks Ambulance Association.
He is also survived by two sons, Christopher D., East Norriton, PA, Montgomery County and Tracey A., Denver, PA, Lancaster PA. Other survivors include two brothers, Gary R. Johnson, Lancaster and Thomas T. Johnson, Spring Twp. There are also 3 grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in West Lawn United Methodist Church. Burial will be Saturday at 12 noon in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
