David J. Good, aged 94 years, passed away in the early morning hours of Christmas Day, 2018. Dave was a resident of Berkshire Commons. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (Myers) Good, with whom he celebrated 32 happy years of marriage.
David was born in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Stanley A. and Myrtle C. (Peterson) Good.
David was a graduate of Abington High School, located in Montgomery County. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during WW II. David was employed by the U.S. Government Department of Defense as a Unit Supply Specialist assigned to the Frankford Arsenal & the Rock Island Arsenal until his retirement in 1979.
He was a member of the Masonic Temple, Royal Arch Chapter No. 301 located in Lansdale, PA. For many years David was a Boy Scout Leader for the troop located in Churchville, PA. David was an avid model airplane & rocket builder. He enjoyed many hours completing with his other club members of STOTs. However, his family was the center of his world. His kind, caring, gentle soul & humor will be missed by all who knew & loved him.
David is survived by his four children: Andrew Good, (husband of Brenda Good), Nancy Adams (widow of Robert Adams), William Wagner (deceased), Julia Maxwell, (wife of John Maxwell). There are five grandchildren: Cyndie Morgan (wife of Paul Morgan), Brandon & Jesse Good, and Karen & Kevin Maxwell; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Kauffman and William Morgan; and a great-great grandchild, Wyatt Morgan. One niece, Donna Conger, also survives him.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Kuhn Funeral Home, located at 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Family and friends visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Berks County Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517. Kuhn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
