David J. Decusatis

David J. DeCusatis, 62, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at his Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina home.

Born on May 14, 1956, in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Marie (DeAngelo) DeCusatis.

David worked his entire career as a financial executive at Carpenter Technology Corporation, recently retiring after 37 years of service.

David was a 1974 graduate of Wyomissing Area High School and Kutztown University, earning an accounting degree. He played multiple sports in high school, but excelled at basketball. He was a member of the 1973 Wyomissing Area Berks County Basketball Championship Team, is a member of the 1,000 point club, and was All County in both his junior and senior years. He also participated in multiple summer and winter basketball recreation leagues over the years.

David is survived by his daughter, Devon J., wife of Kevin, Athens, GA; and his son, Dustin J., husband of Heather, San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Tyrus and Cali; his brother, Michael A. DeCusatis, husband of Lynann, Wyomissing; his niece Jennifer and her daughter, Adalina, and his niece Lauren.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
