David Cirulli

Born on August 18, 1930, to Louis and Emma Cirulli, David passed peacefully on October 23, 2023, at the age of 93. David married his beautiful wife Sylvia (Remza) on November 5, 1955, and they were happily married for almost 68 years. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, as well as an enthusiast of many hobbies, including golf, bingo, and sudoku.

Known to all as "Big Dave", he graduated from Reading Catholic High School and was a talented baseball player in his youth. He was an Army veteran after serving in the Korean War and later retired after a successful career in retail management. In his free time, he enjoyed participating in a charades group and traveling with his wife and dear friends. After retirement, Dave was a snowbird visiting Arizona each year, where he played lots of golf, achieving a hole-in-one on several occasions over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He adored his dog Benji, who would accompany him on long walks and many hours watching the Game Show Network.

He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Richard Cirulli, sister-in-law Joanna Cirulli, and great-grandson Micah Adams-Covell.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Steven Cirulli, husband of Patricia, of Maryland, Debora Covell, of Pennsylvania, David Cirulli, husband of Sophia, of Singapore, and Cynthia Goelz, of Arizona. He has nine grandchildren: Christine, Alexandr, Tegan, Austin, Lindsey, Jared, Giana, Ryan, and Ethan. He also has two great-grandchildren: Dakota and Noah.

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, a visitation will be held at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 AM at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19608. A celebration of life will follow.
