David L. Arentz

David L. Arentz, 67, passed away in his Reading residence on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Charles T. and Lorna (Busch) Arentz.

He graduated from Reading High School in 1975. He worked for Barco for several years and later joined his father in working for the Reading School District in the maintenance department.

David was a fan of the Grateful Dead. He was an avid fan of the Reading High Red Knights basketball team. He enjoyed many a day at the Reading Fairgrounds racetrack and favored "Taz."

He is survived by his siblings, William Arentz, husband of Stephanie L. (Neiman), of Fleetwood; Mary Hatton of Reading; Michael Arentz, husband of Kathi, of Lincoln Park; Kathy Arentz of Corpus Christi, TX; Dennis Arentz, husband of Kathy, of Bradenton, FL; and Brian Arentz, husband of Susan, of Shillington. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and their families. David was everyone's favorite uncle.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his niece, Emily Wickel, and his sister-in-law, Rose Arentz.

A prayer service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611, with committal to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
