Darryl N. Roeder

Darryl N. Roeder, 65, of Sinking Spring, passed away on February 5, 2018, in St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Ziats) Roeder; they celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on November 30, 1974.

Born in Stouchsburg, he was the son of the late Milton Roeder and Marie (De hart) Dite.

He was a 1970 graduate of Reading High School.

Darryl was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also was a loyal Reading High Red Knights basketball fan. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Shelly A., wife of Charlie Smith, Sr., Wernersville; Gina M. Roeder, Oley; and Eric A. Roeder, Sinking Spring; six grandchildren: Sara, Eddie, Charlie, Jr., Anthony, Gabbrianna, and Lily; one great-grandchild: Isabella; one sister: Linda, wife of Lynn Burkert; and one brother: John Williams.
