Darlene Cheryl Tulley, 59, of Kenhorst, died May 6, 2011 in Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Kevin Michael Tulley, whom she married November 30, 1991.

Born August 14, 1951, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Clayton Albert Brooks, Sr. and Louise Jane (Noe) Brooks Bobst.

Darlene was a 1969 graduate of Mifflin High School and attended Alvernia College.

She was employed as an operator with Agere Systems for 23 years, retiring in 2002. She most recently cared for her grandchildren on a daily basis.

Darlene was an avid quilter and was a member of Quintessence Quilters Guild.

She loved her family.

Also surviving are two daughters: Christine M. (Schwambach), wife of Wayne Mull of Bernville and Stephanie L. Schwambach of Reading.

Other survivors include four siblings: Clayton "Sonny", husband of Mary Brooks of Poughkeepsie, NY; William, husband of Mary Brooks of Lower Alsace Township; George "Jimmy", husband of Gloria Brooks of Bern Township and Marie Brooks and her partner Marion Kachel of Mohnton.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Blane A. Lesher, Rachel E. Mull, Brandan A. Mull and Christopher B. Anderson, Jr.

Darlene was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Brooks.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
