Daniel W. Werley

Daniel W. Werley, 92 formerly of Lenhartsville died October 16th in the home of his niece Susie wife of John Kehr of Tilden Township. Daniel was born in Windsor Township and was the son of the late George D. and Annie M. (Moyer) Werley. Daniel was a 1937 graduate of the former Perry High School and attended Albright College for one year. He was a self employed trucker for many years and was the former owner and operator of the Central Hotel in Hamburg from 1968 to 1980. He was a member of Zion's Lutheran Evangelical Church, Perry Township. He was a past director and president of the Hamburg Fish and Game Association. Daniel was also a past director of the Strausstown Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the Loyal Order of the Hamburg Moose #523. In addition to his niece he is survived by a daughter Jean A. widow of Gary Fetterolf of Sherman, Texas, six grandchildren and seven great grandsons. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 19th at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Albany Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berks Visiting Nurses Association, 1170 Berkshire Boulevard , Wyomissing, PA 19610.
