Daniel M. Sloan

Daniel M. Sloan, 57, of Henderson, NV, passed away on Sunday, January 18th, due to the effects of end stage multiple sclerosis. He was receiving care at the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV.

Born in Scranton, PA he was the son of Henry Daniel Sloan, deceased, and Marilyn (Walsh) Sloan.

He was employed for several years by Morgan Corporation in Morganton, PA, leaving in the early '00s. Daniel had been residing in Las Vegas since 2006.

He was a 1976 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School in Leesport, PA.

His hobbies include motorcycle riding, hiking, and spending time outdoors. He was a talented mechanic who had a natural gift for car and machinery repair.

Surviving are his ex-wife, Jacqueline (Laurence) Sloan, of Memphis, TN, and two sons, Daniel, Jr. of Washington, DC., and Travis of Reading, PA. Also surviving are Daniel's three brothers, Marshall of Las Vegas, Kenneth of Oxford, PA and David of Clermont, FL.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
