Daniel J. Mcgettigan

Daniel J. McGettigan, 56, of 721 Walnut Street, Reading, died March 28th at 2:10 p.m. in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since the 19th.

He was the husband of Patricia (Lombardi) McGettigan.

Born in Reading he was a son of the late George P. and Jean E. (Ritchie) McGettigan.

He was employed a number of years for various local jewelers as an independent gemologist.

McGettigan was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

He was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

McGettigan was a Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by two daughters, Amy J. McGettigan and Sarah B. Proffitt both of Yorbalinda, California.

Other survivors include a brother, Neil J. McGettigan of Birdsboro, and a sister Janet P. (McGettigan) wife of Joseph Goryl of Scroggins, Texas.

There are two grandchildren.

Services and Burial will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
