Daniel Kline

Daniel Kline, 89, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Lehigh Commons. He was the loving husband for over 71 years to Arlene (Schappell) Kline.

Born in Shoemakersville to the late Irvin C. and Edna M. (Groh) Kline, Dan graduated from Perry High School in 1953. He went on to barber school and later to cosmetology school. His had a long career as a barber and hairdresser in Hamburg and Kutztown which also included him teaching at a barbering school in Philadelphia.

Dan loved the outdoors, especially the mountains and "up-country." He enjoyed hunting, hiking, and canoeing. He also was an avid rider of motorcycles and snowmobiles. He and Arlene enjoyed many adventures together, both locally and internationally. His sense of humor and ability to light up a room touched many lives.

Daniel was a member and Past Master of Vaux Lodge 406 of the Free and Accepted Masons.

In addition to his loving wife, Arlene, Daniel's memory will be treasured by their children: Jeannette Cummings (Michael) of Bonney Lake, WA; Michael Kline of Reading; and Suzanne Kline of Hamburg; grandchildren: Sean Cummings, Alexandra Simmons, Benjamin Kline, Jonathan Kline, and Mya Kline; and great grandchildren, Francis, Theodore, Augustus, Julian, Catalina, and Kendall. Daniel is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and their families.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Marie Kershner, and brothers, Paul and Lee Kline.

Services for Daniel will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home and Crematory, 40 S 4th St, Hamburg PA 19526, with committal to follow at St. Paul's Smoke Cemetery. Viewing and visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
