Daniel M. Kepner

Daniel M. Kepner, Sr., 86, of Shoemakersville, passed away on November 22, 2024. Born in Reading, he was the son of James G. and Clara E. (Maurer) Kepner.

Daniel dedicated his career to working as a grid caster for General Battery, later known as Exide.

Daniel had a passion for all things Harley. A genuine motorcycle enthusiast, he loved the freedom of exploring the country on his bikes. Throughout his life, he embarked on numerous Harley adventures with his family and friends. Daniel belonged to both the Pagoda Motorcycle Club and the Schuylkill County Motorcycle Club. Daniel was a proud American citizen who loved his country and was a huge fan of classic country music. He enjoyed visiting the Fairgrounds Farmers Market and building puzzles later in life.

He is survived by his children: Jen Kepner, Daniel Kepner, Jr., and Richard Kepner, Sr. (Nancy). He will be missed by his grandchildren: Ricky, Amber, T.J., Tori, Autumn, Jarrett, Melanie, Tara, and Trista, as well as his ten great-grandchildren.

Daniel was predeceased by his children: Thomas Kepner (Delores), Samuel Kepner, and Suann Ludwig (Wilson Ludwig).

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 6-8PM at Kuhn Funeral Home, 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Helping Harvest at 117 Morgan Drive Reading, PA 19608 or to the Wagner Good VFW Post 216 at 1 S 4th St Hamburg, PA 19526.
