Dale Lee Werner

Dale Lee Werner, 67, of West Reading, passed away October 28, 2008 in his residence.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John and Myrtle (Hill) Werner.

He was a 1958 graduate of West Reading High School and received a BS degree in education in 1967 from Kutztown State College.

Mr. Werner was the starting guard on the West Reading High School football team and a member of the varsity baseball team in 1956 to 1957.

He enjoyed boating and fishing on the Blue Marsh Lake.

Mr. Werner was employed by Twin Valley High School as a Social Studies and Sociology teacher from 1967-1991.

He was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Werner is survived by a sister, Dawn B. Roth, with whom he resided and a nephew, Kim L. Roth, Alsace Township.
