Dale Thomas Witters

Dale Thomas Witters, 71, died December 23, 2009 in his Alsace Township residence.

He was the husband of Patricia May (Snyder) Witters whom he married September 21, 1991.

Born September 19, 1938 in West Reading he was a son of the late William Daniel and Ruth Esther (Graypert) Witters.

Dale was a 1956 graduate of Mt. Penn High School.

He was employed as a cutter with Beckerman Shoe Factory, Reading for 15 years and as a machinist with Beckersville Small Castings for 20 years, retiring in February of 2000.

Surviving are three children: Vicki L. (Witters), wife of Gary Seifert of Fleetwood; Allen L., husband of Kathryn Witters of Sinking Spring and William T. Witters, Sr. of Alsace Township.

There are also three step-children: Madeline Palmer of Alsace Township, Denise Johnson of West Virginia and Wendy Palmer of Alsace Township.

Other survivors include three siblings: Vivian Seidel of Reading, Glenn Witters and Corrine Witters, both of Pennside.

In addition, there are fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also surviving.

Service will be Tuesday at 7:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. R. Eugene Zimmerman officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until time of service.
