Craig F. Pehlman

Craig F. Pehlman, Jr., 19, of Shoemakersville, died January 11, 2012.

Born in Reading, he was a son of Craig F. Pehlman, Sr., Shoemakersville and Isabella Marchio, Exeter Township.

Craig was a 2011 graduate of Reading High School. He was currently enrolled in the Nursing Program at Reading Area Community College.

He worked for several area agencies, including Advance Personnel, as a nurse's aide.

Craig enjoyed swimming, and was a lifeguard at the Reading YMCA during high school. He also wrote for the school newspaper during his high school years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters: Eleonora Reid, Reading; Alexandra W., wife of James W. Gechter, Cumru Township and Corina A. Pehlman, Reading. Also surviving are his paternal grandfather, Franklin W. Pehlman and nephews: Mark Reid, Jr. and Jaydin Reid.

He was predeceased by his brother, Rudolfo Torchia.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
