Constance M. Horn

Constance M. "Connie" (Gillespie) Horn, 74, of Reading, died May 17, 2011, in Manor Care, Laureldale.

She was the wife of Roy Horn. They were married December 17, 1989.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Francis Gillespie and Jean N. (Harper) Fox.

Connie was employed for 16 years as a secretary/stenographer for the Reading Railroad. She then worked as a paralegal for Austin, Boland, Connor & Giorgi Law Offices and later for LaManna & Swavely Law Offices until her retirement. She also worked as a secretary for many years for the Berks County Co. Municipal Authority.

She was a long-time, dedicated member of Calvary United Church of Christ.

Connie touched the hearts and lives of many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Cathi M. Cavallo, Reading, Chris Rickenbach, Wernersville and Lori J. Cavallo, Reading and four step-children, Robin L. Horn and Karen L. Horn, both of Emmaus; and Wendy L. Horn and Tracy L. Horn, both of Macungie.

She is also survived by her brother, James, husband of Kay Gillespie, Exeter Township and 14 grandchildren, Eric, Kelsy, Mason, Megan, Amanda, Shane, Shawn, Brandon, Donald, Chad, Jana, Christina, Noelle and Jennifer.

Connie was predeceased by her son, Michael S. Rickenbach and her grandson, Nicholas A. Cavallo.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 4 at 1 p.m. in Calvary UCC, 640 Centre Avenue, Reading, PA 19601.
