Confesor Rivera Mercado

Confesor Rivera Mercado, 77, of Reading, passed away on February 5, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan Rivera Velazquez and Joaquina Mercado Velez, and was the loving partner of Maritzel Rosario for 32 years.

Confesor worked as a landscaper for many years and enjoyed building things, tinkering on cars, and betting on horses.

Surviving along with his partner are 7 children; Marissa, Lissette, Juan G., Juan M., Roberto, Jose, and Edwin, 21 siblings, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death along with his parents by seven siblings.

A time for viewing will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2021 at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, 5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA 19560 from 3 PM until 6 PM.
