Clyde B. Fox, 87, of 920 North 26th Street, Pennside, Lower Alsace Township, died January 5th at 2:20 am in St. Joseph Medical Center where he had been since January 2nd.
He was taken there from Berkshire Commons, Exeter Township, where he had been since June 21, 2002.
He was the widower of Margaret G. (Guinter) Fox who died November 20, 1986.
Born in Reading, Pa., he was a son of the late Edward and Annie (Burt) Fox.
He was a 1932 graduate of Reading High School.
Fox was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mount Penn where he served on the consistory for ten years and as President in 1967.
He was a past member of the Antietam School Board for 8 years and served as President of that school board in 1980.
Fox was a Navy veteran of WWII.
He worked as a foreman in the electrical department of Carpenter Technology, Reading for 37 years, until 1977. Fox last as a clerk in the Berks County Court House from 1978 until 1982.
Fox is survived by a daughter, Pamela J. (Fox) wife of David A. Keeler of Pennside.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Vicki L. Eisele of Sinking Spring and Timothy A. Eisele of Pennside.
Services will be Thursday 10:00 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Viewing 9am until time of service. Burial will be private in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 2449 Cumberland Avenue, Mount Penn, Pa 19606 or Animal Rescue League Rt. 724 and Morgantown By-Pass, Reading, Pa 19607.
