Cloyte B. Jones

Cloyte B. Jones, 87, went to be with the Lord, on March 31, 2011 in Berks Heim.

Her husband, Leon Briggs, died March 3, 1978.

Born in Oklahoma City, OK, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Betsy (Grayhouse) Pennington.

She was a packer for Draper's Canning Factory, Milton, DE for 30 years until her retirement.

Cloyte is survived by four sons, Glen, husband of Catherine Briggs, Rosevelt, husband of Eddie Briggs, George, husband of Eyvonne Briggs and Johnny, husband of Surita Briggs; and three daughters, Helen Weston, Retha, widow of Charles Jones and Grace, wife of Kelly Tucker. One sister, Retha Westbrook; over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

She was predeceased by two sons, Richard Briggs and William Briggs; and one daughter, Virgie Briggs.

Cloyte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Charles Evans Cemetery.
