Clifford S. Nein

Clifford S. Nein, 86, of 1304 Margaret Street, Laureldale, Pa 19605, died September 27th at 11:00 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he had been since September 8th.

He was married 60 years to Helen N. (Sweigart) Nein.

Born in Union Bridge, Maryland, he was a son of the late Irvin and Helen M. (Sappington) Nein.

He was a 1935 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

Nein was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Nein worked for 22 years as a toolmaker at Polymer Corporation until his retirement in 1979.

He also worked for a number of years as a mechanic for Tommy Hinnershitz, a famous race driver at the former Fairgrounds.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Stella (Nein) wife of John Gallagher of South Temple.

Other survivors include one niece and one nephew.

Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Rev. Richard A. Leiby officiating. Viewing Thursday 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
