Cleon A. Coldren, Jr., 72, of Mohrsville, passed away on February 15, 2024, in Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in Reading on July 8, 1951, he was a son of the late Cleon A., Sr., and Elsie Marie (Gollub) Coldren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
Cleon was a mechanic of many fields from automotive to industrial. He was employed by SFS Group, formerly Construction Fasteners, before retiring.
He loved Western movies and shows, classic cars, and drinking beer. He enjoyed gardening including planting fruits and vegetables. He also loved to visit his son, daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren and his sister Ethel and her husband Tony.
Cleon is survived by his son, Michael Coldren, husband of Tara (Houck) Coldren, of Fleetwood and their children, Makenzy and Milo. There are also four sisters: Ethel Fajna, Carol Shingle, Joyce Austin, and Elain Solarek. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul B. Coldren in 1981.
Services will be Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, PA 19560. Burial will follow at Berks Co. Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
