Clementine M. Cernobyl

Clementine M. (Kaintz) Cernobyl, 84, of 229 Reading Avenue, West Reading died September 22nd at 3:30 a.m. in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been since the 16th.

She was the wife of Anthony F. Cernobyl, at home.

Born in Allentown, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Mahr) Kaintz.

She worked as a trimmer for the former Wide-A-Wake Shirt Factory, Reading for 36 years before retiring in 1977.

Cernobyl was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

She is also survived by a daughter, Rev. Barbara A. (Cernobyl) Kershner of Orwigsburg, Schuylkill County.

Other survivors include two grandsons and one great granddaughter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lakeview and Franklin Streets, West Reading, Pa 19611. Viewing Thursday 8:30 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Entombment in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church memorial fund at the above address.
