Clayton Bachman

Clayton S. Bachman Jr., 97, passed away in St. Mary Manor of Lansdale, surrounded by his family.

Born in Barren Hill, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Clayton and Florence (Evans) Bachman.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marian (Noll) Bachman who passed away august 16, 2004.

Clayton was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was a World War II Veteran as part of the United States Army receiving a victory medal and a bronze star. He was also a long time member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Clayton received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Miami, and later his master's degree in statistics from Villanova University.

He was employed by Wausau Insurance as a safety engineer.

Clayton is survived by his sons: David, husband of Brenda Bachman, Clifton, VA; Gregory Bachman, Lansdale, PA, and Jeffrey Bachman, Lansdale, PA. A granddaughter, Laura Bachman, also survives him.

Services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Burial will follow in Spies Zion Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W Main St, Lansdale, PA 19446.
