Claudia Wilkes Wanner

Claudia Wilkes Wanner, 60, of West Reading, died March 14, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Henry Jacob Wanner, Jr., whom she married December 24, 1987.

Born October 3, 1953 in West Reading, she was a daughter of Emma Pauline (Neuman) Wilkes of West Reading and the late Richard Edward Wilkes, Sr.

Claudia was a 1971 graduate of Wyomissing High School. She also attended Penn State University.

She was employed as a processor with CNA Insurance for 24 years and most recently was employed in the main lab at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she has worked for the past 7 years.

Claudia loved gardening, vacationing at her home in Delaware, where she loved boating and above everything, spending time with her grandchildren.

She also loved riding motorcycle with her best friend and husband, Henry.

Claudia will be sadly missed by her dog, Molly.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are her four children: Tracy S., wife of Bruce Rubendall of Douglassville; Chad C., husband of Dang Mohn of Germany; Heather J., wife of Kevin P. Bard of Wyomissing and Tami L, wife of Timothy E. Bowman of Birdsboro.

Other survivors include her brother, Richard E. Wilkes, Jr. of West Reading and her five grandchildren: CJ, Nick, Sami, Jasmine and Caroline.

Services will be held Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A viewing will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
