Claude E. Field

Claude E. Field Jr., 42, of East Main Street, Newmanstown, Lebanon County, was pronounced dead Dec. 9 at 4:38 a.m. on Plum Road, Centre Township.

The cause of death is under investigation by the Berks County coroner's office.

He was the husband of Pamela J. (Frutkoff) Field.

Born in Reading, he was a son of Claude E. Field Sr., Bern Township, and the late Jacqueline A. (Mohn) Field.

Field was employed by Heidelberg Country Club and Colonial Wood Products, Bernville. He was last employed as a cabinetmaker by Woodmasters Cabinetry Inc., Newmanstown, last working Monday.

He was a 1979 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, Leesport.

Field was a member of Bern Lutheran Church, Bern Township.

He is also survived by two sisters, Deborah L. (Field) Boas, Birdsboro, and Diane L. (Field) Fields, Leesport.

Other survivors include three stepsisters: Ann M. (Stiber) Osterfeld, Delaware, Ohio; Michelle L. (Stiber) Kready, Brecknock Township; and Susan K. (Stiber) Waninger, West Reading.

There is also his stepmother, Shirley A. (Wyatt) Field, Bern Township.

Services and burial will be private. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
