Clarence J. Tomaszewski

Clarence J. Tomaszewski, 79, of Kenhorst, died of natural causes February 9th at 9:46 pm in the Emergency Room at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the husband of Venera A. (Allegro) Tomaszewski.

Born in _______________, he was a son of the late Clarence J. and Jenny (Remza) Tomaszewski.

He was a graduate of Reading High School.

Tomaszewski was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Tomaszewski was employed 42 years as a machine operator at Firestone Tire Company, Pottstown, retiring in 1992.

He was a shop steward for the United Rubber Workers.

Tomaszewski was a past president and on the board of directors for the East Reading Football Colts Association where he also served as a coach from 1964-1983.

He is also survived by three sons, Clarence J. III, Steve A. and David J., all of Exeter Township.

Other survivors include 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 am in St. Anthony's of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Viewing Monday 6:30 - 8:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Masoleum, Muhlenberg Township.
