Clarence K. Richards

Clarence K. Richards, 91 formerly of Lecanto, FL., passed away May 30, 2018, at the Reading Hospital.

His wife, Virginia A. (James) Richards died on October 28, 1993. They were married on June 8, 1949.

Born in Coaldale, PA, he was a son of the late Norman and Hilda (Kern) Richards.

He was a graduate of Coaldale High School.

Clarence was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII.

He was employed as an agent for Prudential Life Insurance Company.

Clarence will be remembered for many things especially his loving and devoted relationship with his wife, and as an ardent supporter of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed warm weather and playing golf.

He is survived by two children: Janis R. (John W.) Roland, Sinking Spring; and Lori R. (Thomas) Wood, Hilton Head, SC and one brother, Evan Richards, Coaldale. Five grandchildren: Katherine (Brent) Allen; Rebecca Roland, Andrew (Barbara Hauptfuhrer) Roland; Kelly (Brandon) Boyle, and Kristy Wood; and five great-grandchildren: William Allen, Alexander Allen, Charlotte Roland, Alice Roland, and Matthew Roland also survive him.

Clarence was predeceased by three brothers: Norman, Ronald and William.

Services will be held Monday, June 4, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Friends may call Monday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
