Clara Roth

Clara Rosa Roth passed from this Earth to Heaven on Saturday, July 25, 2015. She celebrated 104 & 1/2 years of life.

She was born Klara Rosa Lieber on January 7, 1911 in Durten, in Obertann-Zurich, Switzerland to the late Henry and Emily Lieber. In 1923, when her family immigrated to the United States, her name was changed to Clara Rosa Lieber.

Clara was the widow of, William Edgar Roth, whom she married January 7, 1939 and they celebrated the birth of one son and 65 years of faithful marriage.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Elizabeth Hernandez, Kristina Roth, Constance Brewer; her great-grandchildren, Dominique Poole, Gwendolyn Hernandez, Stuart Hernandez, Kathryn Brewer, Lindsey Brewer, and Alexandra Brewer; her nephew, Winrich Haag and niece, Catharine Lieber Rudloff.

Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her son, William Henry Roth; daughter-in-law, Anne M. Roth; sister, Emily Haag.

Services will be Monday, August 3rd, at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Rd, Reading, PA 19608. Online Condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
