Clair W. Power Clair William Power, 70, Alsace Township, died Sept. 17 at 3:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, where he had been a patient for one day.
He was the husband of Shirley M. (Conrad) Power.
Born in West Reading, he was a son of Viola M. (Papola) Power, Reading, and the late John H. Power Jr.
Power had been employed for 31 years in blueprinting and microfilming by the Carpenter Technology Corp., Reading, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of Salem (Shalter's) Lutheran Church, Alsace Township.
Power was a 1953 graduate of Mount Penn High School.
He was a Navy veteran and Naval reservist for 27 years.
Power was a past president of the Alsace Township Lions Club.
He is also survived by a daughter, Holly A. (Power) Lindenmuth, Reading, and three sons: Mark C., Fleetwood; Don L., Blandon; and Scott C., Cornwall, Lebanon County.
Other survivors include a sister, Zara (Power) Orth, Exeter Township, and a half sister, Delores (Power) Eastland, Kutztown.
There are also four granddaughters.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Shalter's Church Cemetery.
