Clair D. Dailey, 80, of Oley Turnpike Road, Exeter Township, formerly of Laureldale and Reading, died March 4 at 11:45 a.m. in the Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was the husband of Frances K. (Ciemiega) Dailey.
Born in Fleetwood, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Adams) Dailey.
Dailey was employed by Sun Ship, Chester, and was later employed for 37 years by Continental Can Co., Reading, until his retirement.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Dailey received his general equivalency diploma from Reading Area Community College.
He was a former member of the Muhlenberg Chorus and participated in bicycle races for the Keystone Wheelmen, Reading.
Dailey is also survived by a son, David D., Clayton, Calif.; and two daughters, Debra R. (Dailey) Motacki, Reading, and Donna E. (Dailey) Kern, Spartanburg, S.C.
Other survivors include a sister, Jeannette (Dailey) Homan, South Temple, and a brother, Lee, Mohnton.
There are also seven grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Reading. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.
