Christopher Mark Langdon

Christopher Mark Langdon, 65, of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on July 20, 2026.

Chris is survived by his wife Polly, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage. His passing has left a hole in her heart which will never be filled.

Chris and Polly shared a love for travel. Most treasured were repeated trips to Southwest Harbor, Maine, Satellite Beach, Florida, the Florida Keys, California, the Caribbean and Sedona, Arizona. They equally enjoyed their backyard oasis, even though Chris sometimes rued the day they installed the fish pond and waterfall, which he diligently maintained. He loved having a vegetable garden and was very excited to harvest his own potatoes.

Chris was an avid fan of all sports and was thrilled to score a hole in one! He was always seeking to learn and was especially interested in history of all kinds.

Chris had been on his own since he was 15 years old, yet made sure he graduated from high school and later, while working several jobs, attended the University of Toledo. He loved the Toledo Rockets. Chris was a talented chef and had a successful career in sales in the food service industry until he retired.

Throughout his life, Chris was open to new friendships. Chris was happiest when he was able to lend a hand in whatever way he could, whether it be preparing a meal or installing a ceiling fan or dishwasher for a friend or neighbor. When it snowed, Chris was first out with his snowblower helping to clear sidewalks and parking spaces on his block. Chris really enjoyed participating in water aerobics at the Wyomissing Swimming Pool in the summer and at the YMCA in winter. He was a well loved member of both groups and made sure everyone had a ride to the "Y" in the winter. He had a generosity of spirit and was truly a force of life who will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him. He left footprints of love, kindness, courage and compassion.

Chris was a steady and loving support for Polly in every and any way she needed even if she herself didn't know what she needed.

Chris is also survived by his sister, Joanne, brothers John and Tim (Pam), a niece, and four nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara.

Chris leaves behind his beloved cats Sparky, Garfield and Toby, and his dog Molly, who will miss him and his loving care.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
