Christine E. (nee Ruth) (Wadzinske) SCHWARTZKOPF, age 73, entered into rest Friday, September 25, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton.

Christine was the daughter of Jacob & Margaret (Maxie) Ruth.

Surviving family members include her husband, Ronald L. Schwartzkopf and late husband, Richard P. Wadzinske (1989); daughters, Katrina L. Wadzinske, York, PA and Tyondra L. Cameron, wife of Joshua Cameron, Tucson, AZ; stepdaughters, Angela Combs, Springfield, OH and Shelley Bosticco, wife of Rob Bosticco, Miamisburg, OH; sister, Barbara S. Weckel, Newnan, GA and brother, Jacob C. Ruth, Jr., Mohnton, PA; granddaughter, Chyondra Keech; step-grandchildren: Willie & Joshua Combs, Robyn, Matthew, Ava & Eli Bosticco, and Annastacia M. Keech, who preceded Christine in death Nov. 17, 2012.

A native of Wyomissing, PA, Christine lived in the Dayton, Ohio area from 1993 until 2010, at which time she relocated to Texas. She and Ron moved back to Dayton in 2014. She was a Nurse Educator for over 45 years. She taught at The Reading Hospital School of Nursing (1965-1971), St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing (1973-74), Reading-Muhlenberg Vo Tech School (1979), Reading Area Community College (1980-86), Alvernia College (1986-1993) and Wright State University (1993-97). She designed, developed and directed the Adult Day Care Program at the Senior Resource Center in Dayton, OH (1998-2000). She served as an instructor at the Dayton VAMC from 2000-2010 and the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System from January 2010, retiring in June 2012. She is published in Maux's (2012) Gerontological Nursing: Competencies for Care, 3rd Edition; Chapter 10, Nursing Management of Dementia. She taught Sunday School for over 25 years, was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, National Honor Society, Past President of the RHSN Alumni Association (1980s) and Past President of the Berks County Association for Children and Adults with Learning Disabilities (1980s).

A visitation will be held from 6-7pm with a Memorial Service at 7pm Friday, October 2 at the First Baptist Church in Fairborn (Pastor Ron Plemons officiating) and at Bausman United Church of Christ in Wyomissing, PA on Monday, October 5th. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., Services at 10 a.m. Interment at St. John's Hain's Church Cemetery, Wernersville, PA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to Wright State University Scholarship Fund, Fairborn, OH and Hospice of Dayton. Edward J.
