Christine M. Reed

Christine M. (Corolla) Reed, 43, passed away peacefully August 4, 2013 in St. Joseph Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of James M. Corolla, Sr., Wyomissing and the late Paulette C. (Berger) Corolla.

Christine was a 1987 graduate of Reading High School.

She worked as a subrogation coordinator for Traveler's Insurance Co., Wyomissing for 23 years she then worked for the County of Berks, District Justice Offices.

Christine enjoyed bowling, shopping trips with her sister and daughter, going to the beach and Atlantic City and her favorite color was purple. She loved her family and getting together for family dinners. She had a smile that warmed your heart and brightened a room. She will be dearly missed.

In addition to her father she is survived by her daughter, Amanda M. Reed, at home; and Amanda's father, Greg T., husband of Sheri Reed, Laureldale. Also surviving are her brother, James M. Corolla, Jr., Wyomissing and his daughter, Arianna; her sister, Denise M. Corolla-Rison, wife of Tyrone V. Rison, Jr., Reading, her son, Billy J., husband of Erin Mitchell and their son, Liam Mitchell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will also be missed by her cat, Vino.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to Amanda M.
