Christine A. Heilman

Christine A. (Redcay) Heilman, 80, of Muhlenberg Township, died December 4th at 11:35 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been since November 29th.

She was the widow of Henry C. Heilman, who died March 15, 1974.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Elva (Campbell) Redcay.

She was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Tuckerton.

Heilman was employed for over 20 years as a clerk at her grandfathers store, Elmer Redcay Fruit Stand, Reading.

She was later employed in the same capacity for 25 years at Bruce Eberly Fruit Stand, Fairgrounds Farmers Market, Muhlenberg Township, last working in 2002.

Heilman was a 1943 graduate of Reading High School.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce L. (Napior) wife of John W. Bauer of Bel Air, Maryland and Rebecca H. (Heilman) wife of Thomas E. Nally Jr., of West Reading.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Caroline E. Nally of Ashland, Michigan; Katrina J. (Bauer) Maranto of Joppa, Maryland and Peter J. Bauer of Houston, Texas.

There are also three great grandsons; Joseph J. Maranto of Joppa, Maryland, Jack A. Maranto of Joppa, Maryland and will be expecting the third great grandson in April; Parker J. Bauer of Houston, Texas.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Rev. Dr. Robert Stewart officiating. Viewing one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Contributions may be made to Berks Visiting Nurse Association, 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, Pa 19610.
