Christine Georgeadis

Christine Georgeadis, 96, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in the care of Berks Heim. She was the widow of James Georgeadis, who passed away February 28, 2021, after 70 years of marriage.

Born in Hyannis, MA, she was the daughter of the late Evimeros and Marigo (Pazakis) Fournaris. She graduated from Reading High School in 1946 and Bryland Beauty School in 1947. She was a hairdresser at Claffey's Beauty Salon for 43 years, retiring in 1984.

Christine was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. She was very active in the "Mothers Club", the choir, and worked the bazaar of the church for many years. She also knitted for the Knitting Ministry for the church for many years. Christine treasured time spent with her family.

Christine is survived by: her children, Lyvia Petris, wife of Anthony D., of Sinking Spring, and Socrates Georgeadis, husband of Kerry, of Wyomissing; grandchildren: Kristina Antonellos, wife of Antoni; Kathy Phelivanidis, wife of Gerasimo; Jim S. Georgeadis, husband of Patty; and Katie Georgeadis; and great grandchildren: Teddy Antonellos, Dimitri Antonellos, Penny Georgeadis, and Bonnie Georgeadis.

In addition to her husband, Jimmy, Christine was predeceased by her siblings, Sadie, Nick, Bess, Ross, and Deborah.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, from 9 a.m to 11 a.m, at Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 E Wyomissing Blvd, Reading, PA 19611, followed by the Funeral Liturgy. Committal will follow at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading.
