Christine Simmers Dampman, 98, of Spring Township, left us to be with our Lord, September 20, 2007 at 8:55 pm in the Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since September 5th.
Born April 19, 1909 in Warwick Township, Chester County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Chester and Eva May (Simmers) Dampman.
She was a 1949 graduate of the Gibson Institute of Philadelphia, with a degree in Accountanry and Business Administration.
Christine was employed a number of years as a bookkeeper with Crystal Restaurant of Reading.
She was later employed 30 years as a controller with the Woods Schools, Langhorne, before retiring in 1966.
Christine was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Langhorne.
She was predeceased by a brother, Dale Dampman and three sisters, Caroline Leibig, Evelyn Banliew and Georige Kegerise.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am in Forest Hills Memorial Park, 391 West Neversink Road, Exeter Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Berks Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice, 1170 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J.
