Christine C. Nees

Christine C. (Costello) Nees, 93, of Wyomissing, died June 23, 2017, at The Highlands at Wyomissing.

Her husband, John M. Nees, died August 23, 2015.

Born in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Walter N. Costello and Marie (Oliver) Sellers.

She was a 1947 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Christine was an elementary teacher in both public and parochial schools in GA and NJ.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Christine was a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Reading, the Oblates of the Precious Blood, and was an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary.

She is survived by three children: John M., Jr., San Francisco; Robert M., husband of Katharine D., Dallas, TX; and Mary O., wife of Gary D. Wolfe, Wyomissing; one brother, John M., husband of Betty Costello, Chapel Hill, NC and four grandchildren.

Christine was predeceased by her brother, Walter O. Costello.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery with entombment to follow.
