Christine Antol

Christine Antol, 63, of Mechanicsburg passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John Antol II and her surviving mother Mary (Dodds) Antol, of Hamburg, PA. Other survivors include her companion Thomas Epting, son Matthew DeLong and his wife Jennifer, brother John Antol III and his companion Wanda Fretz, sister Shawn (Antol) Schrepple and her husband Scott, sister Lynn (Antol) Andruzsko and her husband Michael, nephews John and Ian, and nieces Molly and Erin. She was also survived by Thomas's sons Ben and his wife Cindy, Dan and his wife Allison, and grandchildren Carter, Gracelyn, Colin, and Taylor. Christine led an active life and remained positive even during her uphill struggle with cancer. She enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and growing orchids. She was also a meticulous quilter, and she began donating quilts to the children in Johns Hopkin's Pediatric Oncology Center after receiving her own life-changing diagnosis. She always valued spending time with her family and friends as well as her many adopted grandchildren. A visitation to celebrate Christine's life will be held on Sunday, May 15th from 1:30 – 3:00 PM at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home Inc. 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA.
