Christina J. "Tina" Belz, 47, of Reading, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2018, at the Reading Hospital after a short, but hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Robert M. "Mike" Beissel, whom she had shared 20 wonderful years with.
Tina was born October 12, 1970, in Reading, PA, to Thomas Belz, and the late Sharon Eisenhauer. She was most recently employed by Suburban Propane in Temple. In addition to her husband Mike and father Tom, Tina is survived by her dearest grandmother, Eileen Weidner, Laureldale, and her two stepchildren, Zachary M. Beissel, Blandon, and Emily M. Beissel, Leesport.
Tina will always be remembered for her warm, welcoming smile and fun-loving spirit. Tina was a true lover of nature and all things living, and this was apparent through the meticulous, yet tender care she showed her pets, her plants and the wild birds and animals she fed in the forest surrounding her home. Most importantly, she will be remembered for just how happy she made her husband – and best friend – Mike.
A celebration of Tina's life (and continuing journey) will be held on Saturday, May 5, at 10:00 a.m. at the Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA 19560. All family, friends, and former co-workers of Tina's are invited to attend. At her husband's request, guests are asked to please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, donations to offset Tina's medical and funeral expenses can be sent to her husband: Mike Beissel, 69 S. Riverside Drive, Reading, PA 19605.
Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
