Christina R. Schmehl

Christina Rosemary "Krick" (Gerace) Schmehl, 78, died July 11, 2011 in her Temple residence.

She was the wife of LeRoy Kent Schmehl who died February 4, 1986.

Born July 15, 1932 in Palo Alto, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Lucy Mary (Orlando) Gerace.

Christina was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School.

She was employed with Russo Wholesale, Sinking Spring for 13 years, retiring in 2001.

Christina was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.

She enjoyed spending time with family.

Surviving are two daughters: Sheri L. (Schmehl), wife of Howard J. Willman of Temple and Stephanie L. (Schmehl), wife of Brian J. Kopetsky of Muhlenberg Township.

In addition, she is survived by her brother, Pasquale, husband of Dorothy "Dottie" Gerace of Reading and her sister, Grace Gerace, with whom she resided.

Other survivors include four grandchildren: Jeremy J. and Brandon M. Willman and Sarah E. and Jared L. Kopetsky.

A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Chapel of Ressurection at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
