Christiane Powelson

Christiane Powelson, 48, of Wyomissing, went to be with the Lord October 14, 2014, in Sacred Heart Hospital.

Born in Kassel, Germany, she was a daughter of Dieter Manfred Klatt and the late Ingrid Haftmann.

She attended Kutztown University and Alvernia University.

Christiane was employed by Caron Treatment Center as an assistant counselor for ten years.

She was a member of The Bridge to New Life Church.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica, wife of Stephen Little, Okinawa, Japan and Rachel Powelson, Wyomissing; two sisters, Dagmar Blaeser and Heike Baczewski, both of Germany; three grandchildren, Ava, Stephen and Jayden Little and her fiancé, Kevin Derr, Wyomissing.

Services will be Monday, October 27, 2014 at 6 pm in The Bridge to New Life Church, 1300 Hilltop Rd., Leesport, PA 19533. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 6 pm. in the church.
