Christian F. Zale

Christian F. Zale, 62, of Shillington, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia L. (Neal) Zale for 37 wonderful years. They were married on March 8, 1980 in Hagerstown, Maryland and had a wedding no one will ever forget.

Born and raised in Shenandoah, PA. He was the son of the late Henry J. and Eleanor M. (Twardzik) Zale, and was the grandson of Mary Twardzik in whose name the iconic Mrs. T's Pierogies was founded.

He was a graduate of Penn State University where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, an active Penn State alumnus, a member of the Alpha Chi Sigma fraternity. He also attended Frostburg University where he was awarded a Master of Science degree in Business.

Chris was a dedicated corporate finance controller at manufacturing companies spanning over 40 years.

Chris was a dedicated and devout Catholic member of Saint John Baptist De Le Salle Church for 30 years. He also helped save numerous lives by donating blood to Miller-Keystone Blood Center for many years.

Chris was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing, skiing, watching Penn State and Eagles games, cooking, vacationing at the beach and had a love for dogs. He was adventurous, always up for something new such as zip lining, flying a plane and soaring. He had a positive outlook on life and would always put a smile on your face with his witty jokes. He was the most caring and genuine person who would always put the needs of others before his.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his son, Christian (Caz) A., husband of Ann M. Zale, along with two grandchildren, Atticus and Alaric, of Shillington and his daughter, Carli E. Zale, of Shillington. He is also survived by two brothers: Hank, husband of Maggie Zale, Pottstown; and Ray, husband of Lynn Zale, Sinking Spring; a brother-in-law, Chip, husband of Nell Neal, Durham, NH; and mother-in-law, Marian Tuzes, Shillington. Christian is also survived by six nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing Friday, June 16, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at St John Baptist De La Salle R.C.C, 420 Holland St., Shillington, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the viewing at 11 a.m and a luncheon will follow Mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Edward J.
