Chester F. Sychterz

Chester F. Sychterz, 87, of Fleetwood, passed away July 21, 2008 in St. Joseph's Hospital.

His wife Dorothy (Andrejansky) Sychterz died in 1985.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Frances (Zielinski) Sychterz.

He was employed in construction by AT&T, Muhlenberg Township for 27 years retiring in 1983.

Chester was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, and the Serra Club of Reading.

He was a veteran in the US Army Air Corps during WW II.

Chester is survived by two daughters, Terre A. Sychterz, with whom he resided and Bernadette (Sychterz) Cunningham; a granddaughter, Chrysten E. Cunningham, both of San Diego; and two great-granddaughters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, (Route 562) Reading, PA 19606. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church.
