Chester Edward Elerick, 63, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away July 4, 2010 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, surrounded by members of his loving family.
Born February 15, 1947 in East Mines, Pottsville, he was a son of the late Chester and Margaret A. (Mitchell) Elerick.
Chester served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was employed as a maintenance supervisor with ELF Atochem North American, Inc. for 37 years, retiring in 2007.
Surviving are five sisters, Florence T. Sievert of Ruscombmanor Township, Verna F. Dresch of St. Clair, Schuylkill County, Rosemarie Livering of Baltimore, MD, Rayanne Rauenzahn of Muhlenberg Township and Jacqueline DeAngelo of Maidencreek Township.
In addition, there are 14 nieces and nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews also surviving.
Chester was predeceased by a brother, Edward Denton.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. in the funeral home. Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County.
