Charlotte J. Spayd

Charlotte Jean Spayd, 71, of Muhlenberg Township, died January 9, 2007 at 6:08 pm in the Reading Hospital & Medical Center, where she had been a patient since January 5th.

She was the wife of John Ellsworth Spayd, whom she married December 6, 1952.

Born November 11, 1935 in Raleigh, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Clyde R. and Edgarena (Poole) Pendergraft.

She is also survived by two daughters, Elaine (Spayd) Doty of Hutchinson, Kansas and Anne Marie Spayd of Spring Township.

Other survivors include a granddaughter, Aylssa Roberts of Hutchinson, Kansas.

Charlotte was predeceased by a son John Thomas Spayd, who died March 16, 1996. She was also predeceased by a sister, Shirley Halloman and a brother, Robert Pendergraft.

Services will be private with burial in Becker's (St. Peter's) Cemetery, Molltown. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements. www.christfuneralhome.com
