Charlotte L. Rausch, 75, of Hamburg, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Thomas S. Rausch, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Sulligent, Alabama, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Hubert and Azilee (McClendon) Roberts. A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, she devoted her life to caring for others, bringing compassion and kindness to every community she lived in throughout her long career. Charlotte found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking and baking for her loved ones, traveling when time allowed, and, above all, spending cherished moments with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her daughter, Sheri Hoffert, and husband Matthew, of Shoemakersville; her son, Stephen Rausch, of Wyomissing; and her beloved grandchildren: Chloe, Madson, Slayton, and Lexie. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Barbara Moffitt; brother-in-law, Robert Springman; and sister-in-law, Marsha Roberts.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Glenn Roberts; and her sister, Patricia Springman.
She will be laid to rest in a private service at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org
