Charlotte E. Mcloud

Charlotte E. (Schartel) McLoud, 93, formerly of Laureldale and Wyomissing died July 13th at 10:25 am in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township, where she had been since July 15, 2005.

Her husband, Robert B. McLoud, died February 21, 1990.

Born in Reading, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Walter L. and Edith R.S. (Reber) Schartel.

She was a member of St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Reading.

Charlotte was a past matron of the Reading Chapter #251 Order of the Eastern Star.

She was employed a number of years as a librarian at the Reading Eagle Company, retiring February 1978.

Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Alice M. wife of Richard L. Adams of St. Charles, Ill.

Other survivors include three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 11:00am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. www.christfuneralhome.com
