Charlotte J. Arbogast

Charlotte J. Arbogast Memorial services for Charlotte J. Arbogast, 84, of Woodland Drive, Rockland Township, will be May 12 at 10:30 a.m. in Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Burial will be private. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale, is in charge of arrangements.

Arbogast was killed in a two-car crash April 29 on Route 222 in Ontelaunee Township. She died of head injuries and a certificate of accidental death was issued, officials said.

Her husband, Arthur A. Arbogast, died Sept. 14, 1987.

Born in Sunbury, Northumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Mary C. (Welsh) Clark.

Arbogast was employed for 20 years as an executive secretary by Polymer Corp., Northmont, retiring in 1980.

She was a 1936 graduate of Sunbury High School.

Arbogast was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a son, Arthur A., Douglassville, and a daughter, Mariann E. (Arbogast) Kauffman, Leesport

Other survivors include a brother, Leonard Clark, Manheim, Lancaster County; and a sister, J. Harriet (Clark) Chappell, Charleston, S.C.

There are also nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Charles Arbogast, in 1997.
