Charles Walter Zukowski, 83, formerly of Lincoln Park, died January 10, 2008 in the Albright Village Nursing Home, Myerstown, where he had been a resident since 2004.
He was the husband of the late Irene Marie (Golembeski) Zukowski, who died April 22, 2003.
Born April 19, 1924 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, he was a son of the late Theodore and Alice (Nodolski) Zukowski.
He was a member of St. Stephen's Polish National Roman Catholic Church, Cumru Township.
Charles was a 1942 graduate of Moosic High School, Lackawanna County.
He was employed 40 years as a tool and die maker with Continental Can Corporation, Reading, until his retirement in 1983.
Charles is survived by two sons, Charles E. husband of Marilyn R. (Ravel) Zukowski of Exeter Township and Edward T. of Penn Township.
He is also survived by a grandson, Erik E. Zukowski of Penn Township.
Charles was predeceased by three siblings, Eleanor Gillam, Dr. Joseph Zukowski and Leo Zukowski.
A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. Stephen's Polish National Catholic Church, Cumru Township. Burial will be in the Church cemetery.
